Your Dog Deserves the Best Dog Grooming Experience

Living near the Biltmore area means you appreciate the finer things in life. Your dog deserves that same level of care. At Lugari Pet Salon, we believe every pet deserves celebrity treatment — and that starts with exceptional dog grooming.

Whether your pup is a fluffy Goldendoodle or a sleek Doberman, the right grooming routine keeps them healthy, comfortable, and looking their very best. Additionally, in the Arizona desert heat, a well-groomed coat is not just about style — it is essential for your dog’s well-being.

Lugari Pet Salon is a trusted, locally owned salon in Scottsdale, Arizona. Founded by master groomer Ivan Lugo, who has been styling pets since 1998, the salon has served the greater Scottsdale and Phoenix area since August 2017. Our motto is simple: every pet deserves celebrity care.

What Luxury Dog Grooming Actually Means

Luxury grooming goes far beyond a simple bath and brush. It is a complete, personalized experience designed around your dog’s specific breed, coat type, and temperament. Furthermore, it means your pet is handled with patience, skill, and genuine love.

At Lugari Pet Salon, luxury means our team takes the time to understand your dog before picking up a single pair of scissors. We communicate clearly with every pet owner about what their dog needs. As a result, you leave with a happier, healthier pup — and complete peace of mind.

The Lugari Signature Style

One of our most popular offerings is the signature Lugari cut. This style is tailored specifically to your dog’s breed, coat texture, and your personal preferences. It is a true custom grooming experience that you simply cannot find at a generic chain salon.

We also offer the increasingly popular Japanese-style grooming. This approach focuses on a soft, rounded, and adorably fluffy finish. Moreover, it works beautifully on breeds like Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, and Bichon Frises.

Full-Service Pampering Options

Luxury dog grooming at Lugari includes a wide range of pampering services. For example, our clients can choose from the following:

• Haircuts and styling — breed-specific or custom cuts
• Bath and brush — deep cleansing with coat-appropriate products
• Manicures, pedicures, and nail polish — for the most pampered pups
• Hair coloring — fun, safe, and pet-friendly color treatments
• De-shedding treatments — especially important in the Arizona desert

Each service is performed with the utmost care and attention to your dog’s comfort. Therefore, even anxious dogs tend to relax in our calm, welcoming environment.

Why Scottsdale Dog Owners Prioritize Grooming

Scottsdale is one of the most pet-friendly communities in the entire Southwest. Dog owners here are active, engaged, and passionate about their pets’ health. Because of this, regular grooming is not considered a luxury — it is considered a necessity.

The desert climate plays a major role in this mindset. Hot summers and dry air can affect your dog’s coat and skin more than you might expect. In addition, dust and allergens are common in the Phoenix metro area, including in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and nearby Tempe.

Grooming and Desert Heat: A Critical Connection

Many pet owners assume shaving their dog’s coat will keep them cooler in summer. However, this is not always the right approach. A properly maintained coat actually helps insulate your dog against extreme heat and harmful UV rays.

Our expert groomers understand the specific needs of desert-living dogs. We recommend the right coat length and maintenance schedule to keep your pup comfortable through Arizona’s hottest months. Moreover, we can advise on moisturizing treatments to combat dry desert air.

Shedding Control for Arizona Dogs

Seasonal shedding is a major concern for dog owners across the Scottsdale and Mesa areas. Even though Arizona does not have traditional seasons, dogs still shed in response to temperature changes and daylight shifts. As a result, de-shedding treatments are one of our most requested services.

A thorough de-shedding bath and brush removes loose undercoat before it ends up on your furniture. Furthermore, it promotes healthier skin and a shinier topcoat. Your home — and your dog — will thank you for it.

Anxiety-Free Grooming: A Gentle Approach

Not every dog loves the grooming salon. Some pups are nervous, sensitive, or simply inexperienced with the process. At Lugari Pet Salon, we take a calm, patient, and gentle approach with every single dog.

Master groomer Ivan Lugo has decades of experience working with dogs of all temperaments. He understands how to read a dog’s body language and adjust his technique accordingly. Therefore, even the most anxious pups leave our salon feeling relaxed and refreshed.

We also offer puppy grooming introductions for young dogs just getting started. Early, positive grooming experiences set the tone for a lifetime of stress-free salon visits. In addition, it helps puppies get comfortable with handling, which benefits their overall health and behavior.

Dog Daycare and Socialization at Lugari

Grooming is just one part of what we offer at Lugari Pet Salon. We also provide dog daycare and socialization for busy Scottsdale pet owners. This is a wonderful option for dogs who thrive on companionship and play.

Socialization is incredibly important for a dog’s emotional well-being. Meanwhile, it also reinforces good behavior and reduces anxiety in new environments. Our daycare environment is safe, supervised, and full of love.

Additionally, we host pet events such as parties and grooming workshops. These events are a fun way for local pet owners to connect, learn, and celebrate their furry family members. Check our calendar or call us to find out what is coming up next.

Frequently Asked Questions About Luxury Dog Grooming

How often should I bring my dog in for grooming?

Most dogs benefit from a professional grooming session every four to eight weeks. However, the ideal frequency depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Dogs with longer or thicker coats typically need more frequent visits.

What is the difference between a bath and brush and a full groom?

A bath and brush includes a thorough cleansing, blow-dry, and brushing. A full groom adds a haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, and additional finishing touches. Both are excellent options depending on your dog’s needs.

Is hair coloring safe for dogs?

Yes, when done professionally and with pet-safe products, hair coloring is a fun and safe option. At Lugari Pet Salon, we use only products formulated specifically for pets. We recommend consulting your veterinarian if your dog has any known sensitivities.

Do you groom cats as well as dogs?

Absolutely. Lugari Pet Salon offers professional cat grooming services as well. Our team is experienced with feline grooming needs, including coat maintenance, de-shedding, and nail care.

What should I do if my dog is nervous about grooming?

Let us know ahead of your appointment. Our team is trained to work patiently with anxious dogs. Additionally, starting puppies with short, positive grooming visits early in life makes a significant difference over time.
